VARIVAS Fly Lines are the result of years of experience combined with AIRS know-how to deliver the perfect product for the discerning fly-fisher. What makes these lines different is that they are specifically designed for fly-fishing (unlike many of our competitors who believe that competition casting is the future of fly-fishing), so are designed for performance on the river especially at close quarters where surroundings make a long back cast difficult. Hence these lines are shorter than most; Just remember where most fish are caught and successfully hooked, and it is probably not at the end of a 50 yard cast!
Double Tapers are a must where the ultimate presentation is sought, so we offer a 22 yard line in 2/3 /4 & 5 weight It is worth mentioning that the taper for the two and three weights are quite different to the classic line weights four to eight, this is because such rods are usually shorter so need a sweet-spot that is closer to the front.
Weight Forward lines are very useful in a breeze and where effortless and accurate casts are required over a longer distance. The weight-forwards feature the Wind Block Taper which has been developed so as not to overload the blank but to still achieve the distance.
All of Varivas lines feature the renowned AIRS Hollow Nylon Single Monofilament Core, making VARIVAS lines 20% more buoyant than other floating lines and because of VARIVAS technology have virtually no memory due to the Double-Flex Hard Coating which also greatly improves buoyancy, durability, suppleness and slickness so that the line will whistle through the rings with the greatest of ease. All lines are available in both Sand and Orange.
