Partridge & Yellow Trout Flies

Like its famous cousin the Partridge & Orange the Partridge and Yellow is a standard North Country trout fly that is tied and fished all over the northern counties of England and beyond. First listed by Swarbrick in his "List of Wharfedale Flies" of 1807. The Yellow Partridge is a fine imitation of many light olives and even the Mayfly if dressed in a larger size. Though traditionally never ribbed the Partridge & Yellow is now favoured by many anglers with a rib of fine silver wire.
