The Parallel Line
Our Parallel Silk Lines are designed for fishing fast water where short casts are required. These lines are made from top quality silk and require the minimum of care. We were asked to make these lines to replace the “Robinson” parallel lines that are no longer manufactured, and they have proved to be a great success.

All Phoenix Silk Lines are made from the finest pure silk, proofed with several coats of a special varnish and hand polished.
All Phoenix lines are hand crafted with meticulous care, all lines are fully finished and ready for use (No breaking in). They are create less disturbance on the water!

Ultimately a silk fly line gives you three options in one line

    * Greased, the line floats high on the surface film.
    * Un-greased it acts as a ‘slow sinker’.
    * De-grease the tip and there is a ‘sink-tip’ of variable proportions.

We have a stock Phoenix silk lines in various weight lines which are available from AFTMA 2 through to AFTMA 5.

Advice for dressing the lines:
    * Apply a thin even coating of Mucillin. Wipe of any excess.
    * Dry the line after fishing
    * Never apply Mucillin to a wet line.
    * At the end of every season wash the line a bowl of warm soapy water and allow to dry thoroughly
